Pulling a molar or tooth

Treatment Explanation
As dentists, we do everything we can to preserve your own teeth for as long as possible. But sometimes a tooth is damaged too far due to an advanced cavity, a deep fracture or extensive gingivitis. In that case, pulling (extraction) is the best or only solution to prevent further pain and infection.

Painless treatment with attention

We understand that having a tooth extracted is no fun and can cause quite a bit of tension. That is why we always provide excellent local anesthesia. During the treatment you will feel that we are busy (you will feel some pressure and wiggling), but you should not feel any sharp pain. If you are anxious, please let us know. We take our time and explain everything step by step.

Aftercare and recovery

After the extraction, we will always provide you with clear aftercare instructions on paper. It is important not to rinse intensively on the first day and to leave hot food or drinks aside for a while to allow the blood clot to clot properly. After the treatment, if necessary, we will discuss the options for filling the resulting gap, such as with an implant or bridge.
