Take x-rays

Treatment Explanation
With the naked eye, the dentist can only see the outside of your teeth. To get a complete picture of your oral health, we take digital x-rays. This allows us to look beneath the enamel, between the teeth and at the jawbone. This is essential for the early detection of cavities and inflammation.

Types of X-rays

  • Bitewings (small photos): These are usually made once every two to three years. They perfectly visualize the molars on the left and right to check emerging cavities between the teeth and the edge of the jawbone.
  • Solo recording: A focused photo of one specific tooth or molar, including the root tip. Useful for pain complaints or root canal treatment.
  • OPT (Overview photo): A large photo of your entire jaw, all teeth and jaw joints.

Safety and radiation

We work exclusively with advanced digital X-ray equipment. The radiation released is minimal and completely safe. If you are pregnant, we always ask you to inform us in advance, so that we can postpone taking the photos until after the pregnancy if possible.
