Night mouth guard for teeth grinding

Treatment Explanation
We often grind our teeth (bruxism) and lock our jaws unconsciously in our sleep, for example due to stress. You don't notice it yourself, but your teeth are grinding against each other with enormous force. This can lead to significant wear or cracks in your enamel, and complaints such as a tired or painful jaw, neck problems or headaches in the morning. To prevent damage and pain, we make a perfectly fitting night mouth guard (a bite plate or splint).

How does a night mouth guard work?

A night mouth guard is made of transparent, hard plastic (acrylic). You wear it over your teeth in the upper or lower jaw while you sleep. The bit absorbs the pressure of clamping and ensures that your molars can no longer rub against each other. This protects your teeth, but also gives your jaw muscles the peace to relax.

Because every set of teeth is unique, we make a scan or impression of your teeth. The dental laboratory then produces a mouthguard that fits seamlessly and securely, so that it fits comfortably and you can sleep with it effortlessly.
