Treatment Explanation
If you are missing many or even all of your teeth, this not only affects your chewing ability and speech, but also your self-confidence. Dentures (complete dentures) or partial dentures (plate or frame dentures) restore the function and appearance of your mouth. At Mondzorg Koningstraat we guide you from the first impression to the moment that your new teeth fit perfectly.
Types of prosthetics
- Complete dentures: Replaces all teeth and molars in your upper or lower jaw. Modern dentures are beautifully designed and fit comfortably.
- Click dentures (dentures on implants): Does your jawbone have little support left for normal dentures? Click-on dentures, which click into place on 2 or 4 implants, offer maximum strength and prevent shifting while talking and eating.
- Frame prosthesis or plate: A partial solution in which the artificial teeth are attached to a metal (frame) or plastic (plate) base. These clamp firmly around your own existing teeth.
Aftercare and fitting
Your jaws and gums change over the years, which can cause dentures to become looser over time. Do you experience painful pressure spots or loose teeth? We can often easily adjust the fit of your existing teeth by means of a "rebasing" (new lining) so that they fit comfortably again.
